Duchess is a welcome addition to Kokoro Akitas, courtesy of our good friend, Colleen of Sondaisa Akitas. Duchess is a large female, something we feel is often needed in a breeding program. She's extremely intelligent and, despite her size, is quite agile and extemely gentle. Duchess, now 3 years old, will be looking to complete her championship in 2006 and will be trying her hand again at the whelping box with a fantastic breeding to Rogue this winter! Her first litter with Eagle was a beautiful litter with some fantastic show prospects just beginning to hit the rings now and some awesome companions, including two who have already earned their Canine Good Citizen Titles by 13 months of age! Sondaisa's The Cat's Outa The Bag, aka "Cougar", owned by Pat Slavik and Colleen Sullivan. Cougar had a fantastic year and finished 2003 as the #11 Akita in the country. We couldn't be happier for Pat and Colleen, WAY to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
