"Tabitha" is a 3 time Regional Specialty Winner's Bitch on the way to her Championship, we believe she may be the only one to have accomplished this. She is ALWAYS Breeder-Owner Handled, she finished having garnered TWO 5 point majors from the Bred By Class at 2 of those Regional Specialties, both times under breeder-judges! She capped off 1999 by winning her class in the Breeder's Cup Competition and making a cut for the Breed at the Akita Club of America National Specialty in Denver, Colorado. She ended 2000 with some Best of Breed wins under her belt, with limited showing, and then making it down to the final cut at the Akita Club of America National Specialty in Frederick, Maryland!

It was always a dream of mine to go to the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Show in New York with a breeder/owner handled special and I had hoped to do so with Tabitha. In February 2002, Tabitha and I, did indeed, stand on the floor of the amazing, historic Madison Square Garden as a team and showed our hearts out, it was a very special experience for us both and one that I will now hold onto tighter than ever, for little did I know that it would be our last time in a ring together. To my utter horror, I was to find our beloved "T" gone from this world only two weeks later. She now runs through open fields, waiting until the day we will run beside each other again. God Speed, my beautiful friend.

Words cannot express the gratitude for the hundreds of condolences we have received during this difficult time, it is truly, truly a testament to a wonderful spirit that she was noticed and so loved throughout the breed as she was shown only by her breeder/owner and on a very limited basis, we are truly honored by this legacy that she leaves.
