"Large, Powerful and Alert with Much Substance"--Hmmmm, that he is, but I don't remember anything in the Standard about being a perpetual Peter Pan! Duncan is silly. Our nickname for him is "Duncan Doo", this is a huge, sweet dog who absolutely adores his mommy and kids of all ages. Duncan has a "thing" about strollers--that is to say that he is drawn to them, almost like a magnet! On occasion he has been known to cause sheer terror in a mommy's eyes when these mommies walk too close to him with their strollers. You see, he just sticks that big, monstrous head in the stroller, ever so gently and lays it on the baby's legs and gives very tiny kisses if he can!!! While his size is intimidating to some adults, he doesn't view it as a problem, it just makes it easier to see inside those strollers! While he will play with us, jump on us, lay on my feet and roll his whole body into me, he seems to sense when he shouldn't "throw his weight around". My Grandmother is handicapped and this dog is absolutely amazing with her, for all his size and strength, he almost appears to attempt to walk on his tippy toes around her and always stays at her weak side which is her right side, he's been trained to always walk on the left--it's almost as if he thinks he could break a fall if necessary! As with each dog, he is special in his own right and we are proudly his breeders and his owners!

Congratulations to Duncan daughter "Sessie", bred by Pat Mills on completing her AKC Championship at the age of 14 months and Best of Luck to "Sessie" and her owner Jaime as they work toward a Tracking Title , among other endevours! Congratulations also to Duncan daughter "Flair", bred/ owned by Pat Mills, on her Futurity win at the Akita Nationals in Eureka, MO in October of 2001 and on Flair's completed championship in July 2002!! Duncan son, "Archie" (who was bred by Pat and is owned by Jane) only needs a few points to complete his Championship too! Big Congratulations to Pat Mills who bred this litter and received all three of these Duncan and Classy's kids OFA reports with ALL three of them receiving an OFA rating of EXCELLENT like their father! Good Luck to all the owners of the Duncan/ Classy babies! Sadly, we lost Duncan on February 28th, 2005...ironically 3 years to the night that his sister, Tabitha, died. We miss our Duncan-Doo each and every day. Sleep well, our gentle giant.
